The Chairman of the 8th National Convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Aminu Bello Masari on Thursday submitted the final report of the convention to the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party.
Presenting the document, Masari, a former governor of Katsina state said with the presentation of the final report, the last programme of the assignment given to his committee has come to an end.
He said the task was honorably discharged by all members of the committee, even as he noted that they equally made some recommendations to the party to guide them in planning future activities of that magnitude.
“In the discharge of our responsibility, we saw, observed and made the best out of our time and abilities.
“Our observations is to guide us in the preparation of future conventions. I believe that making progress is constant until we reach perfection, if there is any”.
Accepting the report on behalf of the party, National Chairman, Prof. Nantawe Yilwatda said he was happy with what the committee did.
He praised the committee for their dedication to duty adding that what they did at the Eagles Square will remain memorable in the minds of anybody who saw it.
The National Chairman assured that the recommendation would be studied as a working document that will guide to ensure that the APC organizes its Conventions in a way no other party would be able to organize.
“We are full gratitude for organizing one of the best conventions ever. Everybody has given a testimony to that. The venue was very beautiful that anybody who entered there was excited.
“We will look at the observations you raised, work on them to ensure a near perfect outing in subsequent conventions”.
Earlier, the Secretary to the committee and governor of Yobe state, Mai Mala Buni, who was represented by the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara said the party and its members all contributed in ensuring the success of the convention.
He urged the party faithful to always work hard to ensure that the APC continues to remain the party to be emulated by others.
