The Minister of Water Resources, Engr. Suleiman Adamu has commended the FCT Administration for the confirmation of appointment of Dr. Mohammed Ali Dan-Hassan as the Executive Director (ED) of FCT Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Directorate (RUWASSA), emphasizing continued partnership in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) sector.
Adamu, in a congratulatory letter to Dan-Hassan, noted that the decision was a clear indication of the commitment and dedication Dr. Dan-Hassan exhibited in the by delivery of effective rural water supply, sanitation and hygiene services in the FCT.
He further noted that, for the confirmation to come just after the World Toilet Summit, it shows the political will of the Federal Capital Territory Administration in achieving open defecation free status in FCT.
Also reacting, the Rotary international District 9125, in a statement by Dr. Goddy Nnadi, described the appointment as a welcome development and timely.
He said, Dr. Dan-Hassan, who has been a major donor in the humanitarian organisation, is a meritorious achiever that fits the office.
Similarly, Chairman, Public Convenience Maintenance Association (PCMA) in the FCT, Alh. Aminu Musa congratulated Dr. Dan-Hassan and urged it’s members to rally round the Executive Director to get rid of open defecation in the FCT.
Musa described Dan-Hassan as a seasoned and hardworking public servant, who deserves such a recognition and confidence, for the campaign against open defecation to succeed.
