Miyetti Allah condemns killings in Benue, Nasarawa

A Fulani socio-cultural association, Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore has condemned in totality the recent killings across the country, especially in Benue and Nasarawa states.
It could be recalled that of recent, at least 37 persons were reportedly killed in Benue and in Nasarawa states respectively.
National president of the association, Alhaji Bello Abdullahi Bodejo made the condemnation yesterday in Abuja, describing the menace as wicked act toward Nigerians, and it is not acceptable any longer.
Bodejo said that Miyetti Allah is an Association that stands for peace, love, unity and harmony in the country, adding that they have never supported any form of violence in the society, calling on Nigerians to shun violence.
He said the Association is mourning and sympathizing with the affected people in the affected areas, praying that Almighty Allah would console the bereaved families and grant them eternity.
“We are peace loving people, we believed in love for one another. Any Fulani Pastoralist that doesn’t believe in peace is not part of us.
“Am also calling on IGP to set up a high power investigation team that would bring to book those behind these attacks on innocent Nigerians, because the killings are too many and it is an act of wickedness,” Bodejo said.
The Fulani leaders also called on those who are using the name of Fulani herdsmen to perpetrated evil to desist from doing so before the Almighty Allah’s punishment catch up with them, adding that they should stop pointing an accusing fingers on the Fulanis whenever there is attack in any part of the country.
