Gombe state government said it recieved an allert of N2bn meant for the purchase of federal government palliatives that was pronounced by President Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
The federal government palliatives that was pronounced by the president was aimed at cushioning the hardship of the people after the removal of subsidy.
It would be recalled that President Tinubu made a pronouncement of approving the sum of N5bn to 36 states including the federal capital.
Gombe state governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya while clarifying the pronouncement during the distribution of state palliatives to beneficiaries in Gombe on Wednesday said the state just received N2bn into its account and appeal to public to remain calm as the state government will do everything to actualize the money without hindrance.
“The N5bn pronouncement by the president was aimed at purchasing rice, maize and other items.”
