As part of frantic moves by the administration of Engr Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state to boost socio-economic activities, the governor has so far provided electricity project to over 161 communities across the Three senatorial districts of the state in two years as well as assured that plans are on ground to extend more electricity projects to some communities yet to benefit from the gesture.
The General manager. Nasarawa state Electricity Agency (Naepa ), Engr Yakubu Sulaiman Umar, disclosed this to newsmen in Lafia while reviewing the achievement so far recorded by the Agency under the leadership of Engr. Abdullahi Sule.
He added that “ The Agency is saddled with the responsibility of handling electricity matters in the state, The Agency has provided electricity to both Rural and Urban centres across the state,”
Engr. Yakubu pointed out that the Agency has budgeted for projects to be executed soon to communities who are yet to benefit from the gesture, asserting that Governor Sule is determined committed in the area of electricity supply to the good people of the state
He however expressed regrets over the vandalism of electricity facilities by hoodlums, calling on the benefiting communities Leaders to safeguard electricity projects installed in their respective domain.
He said Government have a good plan for the people in terms of electricity projects but some bad eggs are sabotaging government efforts by vandalizing the facilities.
