From Yakubu Mustapha Minna
The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to increase budgetary allocation for N-HYPPADEC to enable it to continue to expand its interventions and improve the lives of communities.
NANS Zone “C” (NORTH CENTRAL) Coordinator, Comrade Hussaini Jamilu Ebbo made this known during a press briefing at the IBB Pen House in Minna.
He said advocating for more funds was due to its impacts in educational sector.
Comrade Ebbo noted that president’s focus on education, which has led to numerous initiatives is aimed at improving the quality of education in the country.
He said the sum of N1.6 trillion allocation to the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) is a significant step in the right direction.
