Stakeholders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Nasarawa Western Senatorial District also known as Keffi have vowed that the next governorship candidate of the party must come from the zone.

Keffi zone comprised Keffi, Nasarawa, Karu Kokona and Toto Local Government Areas.

The resolution of the stakeholders was read by Senator Abdullahi Adamu, a former National Chairman of the All progressive Congress,, (APC), and two term Governor of the state, after their meeting in Keffi during the weekend.

The Zone forceful words is a clear directive and set the stage for intense political maneuvering within the state’s ruling party. His statement signals a firm stance against any deviation from what he perceives as a rightful claim by the Keffi senatorial zone to the state’s highest office.

The pronouncement, delivered with characteristic gravitas, is expected to resonate deeply within APC circles and among the broader electorate in Nasarawa State. It highlights the critical importance of zoning arrangements in Nigerian politics, particularly concerning power rotation and equitable representation among different regions.

Sources close to the meeting informed our correspondent that Zone’s declaration was met with significant attention from the stakeholders, reflecting the weight its words carry within the party.
