Nigerian Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, NASME, has stressed that the association will strengthen partnership with federal government agencies for national economic growth and development.
The new Publicity Secretary of NASME Mr Gaddafi Asemanya who stated this in a press statement made available to Peoples Daily in Makurdi, said they will collaborate with the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Development Bank of Nigeria, Corporate Affairs Commission, Industrial Training Fund, ITF, Small and Medium Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN, Bank of Industry (BOI)and amongst others in fostering a favorable business environment for Small Medium Enterprises in Nigeria.
Gaddafi who recently emerged as the first Benue indigene to be elected into the Governing Council of NASME under the leadership of Dr Abdulrashid Yarima as National President, said the association is poised towards achieving its goals of supporting SMEs growth, enhancing business development services, and advocating for policies that benefit the SME sector.
He added that the new leadership of NASME will focus on innovation, capacity building, and improved access to finance for SMEs.
According to him, the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment equally reaffirmed its dedication to collaborating with NASME to implement strategic initiatives aimed at improving the competitiveness of Nigerian SMEs both locally and internationally.
