In response to the call for public supports to disaster victims, a private company Biogenerics Nigeria Limited has donated medical supports to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) for onward delivery for treatment of victims of the recent multiple bomb blasts in Kano and Jos.
Presenting the items, the company’s representative Mr Alloy Ohazurike said the donation was in appreciation of the efforts of the Federal Government and the need to support the quick recovery of the victims. He also said that gesture was in furtherance of the company’s corporate social responsibility in response to the call for supports to disaster victims in the country.
Receiving the items, Director General of NEMA Muhammad Sani Sidi commended the company for the gesture. He assured that the items would be distributed to the hospitals.
The Director General of NEMA who was represented by the Director of Search and Rescue Air Commodore Charles Otegbade said the Agency in the past few weeks has distributed medical supports to hospitals in Kano and Jos for the treatment of the bomb victims.
The donation by Biogenerics consist of 10 cartons of Vioplex-T spray powder for treatment of injuries and wounds.
