The Former Chairman of Gombe State Football Association, Ahmed Gara Gombe has revealed that the minister of sports and chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC) Dr. Tammy Danagogo had deceived President Goodluck Jonathan that led to the dissolution of Alhaji Aminu Maigari’s board and it management staff of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
The controversial football administrator who disclosed this to newsmen yesterday in Abuja, said the minister should been blamed for all the atrocity befallen the nation’s football as well as FIFA’s forthcoming sanction in few days times.
Gombe who said, if Maigari’s led board members found to be illegal and brought honour to the country, they should allow to continue because the legal board members in the past disgraced the country at global stage.
“We are aware that the NSC misled the presidency on the crisis rocking the NFF, I was not in Brazil, I took time to say something or make comments. I have spoken to the minister, NFF, Maigari, DSS and I have backup documents to address press.
“There were pending court cases brought by former NPFL chairman, Ransom Baribote but the court dissolved the NFF board on the case brought by Mrs Baribote, who is the women?, the court order the minister to appoint sole administrator and fit a date, the appointment was the fastest order I have ever seen in football sector.
“Board members of the NFF which they called illegal, Johnson Effong and Shehu Adamu convened the congress to dissolved the NFF, personally I call the congress impostors, the congress did not know the role of a congress because they discus financial issue mend for annual general congress.
“Now, you are wondering why the teams failed? The supposed father did not care about his offspring’s. It is even on record that when the Super Eagles returned to Nigeria, Maigari was arrested on what grant.
“They failed to tell the president that the minister and director General Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye are having serious misunderstanding, “He explained.
He implored Nigerians to rally round NFF sacked board members in order to call them as well as avoiding FIFA hammer in few days.
