The Chief Executive Officer of SUBRAX Integrated Agency Limited in Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT, Hon. Suleiman Ibrahim Barde, has graduated a total number of 50 youth, who received training in solar engineering skills.
Barde, who disclosed this in an interview with newsmen after the presentation of Advance Diploma to the graduants and practical demonstrations of solar engineering skills, at the Government Day Secondary School in Gwagwalada.
Disclosing that the NGO trained sixty-five students, but only fifty students graduated, he assured to continue empowering and impacting knowledge on the less privileged ones in the society.
He said the purpose of engaging the youth in solar engineering skills was to divert their intentions in criminal activities being masterminded by some youths in Nigeria.
He then advised the graduating students to be honest in dealing with the public, pointing out that he would connect the graduants in solar engineering work to better their lives.
Barde, who is a strong member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gwagwalada, said he has intention to contest for the Chairman in 2025 in the area.
Also speaking at the occasion, the Chairman of the ceremony, Mr Ayuba Ibrahim, urged the graudants to remain committed to the solar engineering work.
Speaking on the importance of skills acquisition to the youth in the present Nigeria, the Guest Speaker of the occasion, Dr Umar Abubakar, charged the Nigerian youth to engage in the skills acquisition programme in order to be self-reliance in the society.
