A nongovernmental organization, Mamaye evidence for action has flagged off Naija fund health project, in Gombe state, with a view to harmonized policy makers and duty bearers to make required resources available to tackle urgent health issues.
While unveiling the Fund Naija Health campaign logo held which was held at the Custodian Hotel, Gombe the media adviser of Mamaye in Nigeria, Mr. Laide Shokumbi said the NGO Flagg of the fund due to poor availability or interventions in the health sector that was agreed by the African Union and espoused, in the Abuja declaration in the year 2000.
He decried worse, and not what he described as budget which is meant for the health sector is not been released on time.
He said the main mandate of the programme is to improve the quality of health services through reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health and nutrition( RMNCAH+N) in the state. Same programme is expected to run in Lagos and Bauchi states.
