Niger State Government has debunked killing of civilians by Security in Shiroro community.
The Secretary to the Niger State Government (SSG), Ahmed Ibrahim Matane stated that the report published by a national Newspaper trending on social media and attributed to him that he confirmed NAF fighter jet killed six children in the State was false and malicious.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Internal Security, Emmanuel Umar appealed to the Federal Government to direct more military operation in terrorists infested Local Government Areas of the state.
He disclosed this in a statement, adding that this will lead to elimination of the terrorists and make villagers return home for their farming activities.
He refuted the claim on social media and some media publications that during one of the operation by the security forces some civilians were killed in Shiroro Community.
Umar noted that no civilians resident in those areas for some time now due to the infiltrations and bandits activities.
The Commissioner commended the security operatives for neutralizing many bandits and rescuing victims.
