Niger govt working to ensure food sufficiency – Official

Niger State Government said it is making efforts to ensure food security and sufficiency.
The state delegation led by Special Adviser on Social Investment Program, Hauwa Bako stated this during a visit to Soilless Farm Labs in Ogun State.
Also, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Digital Media and Strategy, Abdullberqy Usman Ebbo said a team of Commissioners and Special Advisers said the visit was a wake up call.
According to Ebbo, the visit was one of the strategies of the state to become one of Nigeria’s leading agricultural hubs, exploring innovative practices such as soilless farming to achieve the planned goal.
He maintained that during the visit, the team inspected the state-of-the-art facilities, met with training participants, and held productive discussions with partners.
