The Niger State Police command has arrested one Isah Usman 37yrs of Angwan Biri Area who sells honey who has been forcefully having unnatural carnal knowledge of young boys aged 15yrs, 13yrs and 14yrs severally in his room.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Niger State Command, Police Public Relations Officer PPRO SP Wasiu Abiodun in Minna, said he was immediately arrested by Police operatives attached to Bosso Division.
Further findings revealed that the suspect usually threatens them after the act and induces them with five hundred naira each and some honey.
He said the victims were taken to Police Clinic Minna for medical examination which confirmed the allegation and indicated penetration, while the suspect during interrogation confessed to the act.
Similarly, a report was received at GRA Division that a 14yr old boy was seen spending money lavishly who was questioned by his Boss who is a mechanic.
The boy revealed that one Yusuf Shehu 16yrs of Tayi village usually gives him between two thousand and two thousand five hundred naira (#2000 – #2500) after performing unnatural sexual acts with him in an uncompleted building around Tayi village.
The suspect was immediately arrested and investigation is ongoing to identify other victims and possible accomplices for investigation and prosecution for unnatural offences.
In another development, Paiko police Division have arrested one Zailani Suleiman 37yrs of Angwan-Sarki Hausawa Tungan-Mallam Ward lured a female victim of 17yrs of Angwan-Fulani Paiko, and had carnal knowledge of her without consent.
It was revealed that the suspect lured the victim and gave her a substance to inhale which made her unconscious. He later had unlawful sexual intercourse with the victim.
The suspect was arrested, and the victim was taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention. All the Suspects has been transferred to SCID Minna for further investigation and prosecution.
They will be charged to court for prosecution after the completion of investigations.
However, Parents/Guardians were equally advised to monitor and protect their wards against such unnatural offences to prevent the health implications on the victims.
