Residents of Minna, the Niger state capital have expressed concern over the way and manner governor Mohammed Umar Bago has been issuing political appointment without considering the integrity and past records of some appointed individuals.
A cross section of interview carried out by our reporter in Minna revealed that some of the appointees do not deserve them especially as it affects the sensitivity of the religion of the citizens where integrity, past records and service delivery are the hallmark of the activities.
The residents who were reacting to the recent appointments released through the official statement issued by the governor’s Special Adviser on Digital Media and Strategy, Abdulberqy Usman Ebbo that went viral on social media blamed close friends of the Governor for the development.
The residents further said the Governor should have made wide consultation before issuing out the appointments, saying some individuals appointed have questionable character and will be serving their personal aggrandizement.
