The Nigeria Professional Football League week eight fixtures recorded two away victories with as many goals as table toppers Plateau United inflicted heaviest defeat of the week on FC Ifeanyi Ubah.
League leaders Plateau United were the biggest winners on Sunday after they thrashed FC Ifeanyi Ubah 5-1 in Jos to consolidate their position on the summit.
Mustapha Ibrahim and Nenrot Silas added to their goal tallies for the season before Tosin Omoyele rounded off the scoring for Abdu Maikaba’s men in the 85th minute. FC Ifeanyi Ubah got a consolation goal through Ekene Awazie in the 88th minute.
Sunshine Stars got a massive away victory, beating Adamawa United 3-0 at the Pantami Stadium in Gombe.
Heartland was the other club that recorded an away win as they defeat newcomer Kwara United 1-0 in Ilorin.
MFM got their third win of the season as they beat Akwa United 3-0 at the Agege Stadium in Lagos.
Other matches saw Lobi Stars beat Abia Warriors with a slim 1-0 win, while Wikki Tourist and Enugu Rangers battled to a 1-1 draw.
