The National President of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Chris Isiguzo has told Nigerians that the media will not succumb no matter the pressure in its genuine efforts to keep the country united.
He stated this at the weekend, during a press week and award ceremony organised by the Niger state council of NUJ in Minna with the theme; Media and Integrity in Nigeria; Niger state perspective.
Comrade Isizugo explained that Nigerian Journalists will remain resolute in communicating reality and not fear because Nigerians solely rely on us, stressing that the Media will continue to remain the voice of voiceless and hope of the common man.
The NUJ President who cautioned Journalists against allowing themselves to be deceived by political actors and merchants also reminded them that “we have no other country than Nigeria and we must stand firm to salvage it collectively.”
