Nupe celebrate cultural festival

The leadership of Nupe Development Association (NDA) which comprised of Abaji, Gwagwalada, Kuje and Kwali in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has celebrated the first Nupe cultural festival, special award ceremony and launching of the 2023 calendar in a grand style.

The first Nupe cultural festival which took place at Angwan Dodo Primary School in Gwagwalada was attended by the important dignitaries within and outside the FCT.

Speaking at the occasion, the president of NDA in charge of Zone A, Alhaji Abubakar Jibrin Makun said: “The association is formed for the purpose of promoting unity, peace and progress of its members thereby setting a pace for our future generation yet to come”.

He called on those who have not registered as the members of Nupe Development Association to do so, saying that the door is opened for every Nupe person in the FCT.

He then appealed to highly placed individuals to support the association both cash and kind to purchase a plot of land to erect a befitting secretariat for the association in the FCT.
