NYSC swears in 1,550 Corps members in Kaduna State

A total of 1,550 members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) made up of 707 males and 843 females have officially commenced their mandatory three-week orientation course at the Temporary NYSC Orientation Camp, Government College, Kaduna.
This followed the administering of the Oath of Allegiance by the Chief Judge of Kaduna State, Justice Muhammad Lawal Bello represented by Justice Y. Badamasi.
The oath-taking ceremony marked the official opening of the Kaduna State 2024 Batch “B” Stream 1 Orientation Course.
Welcoming them, the State Coordinator, Mr Hassan Mahmud said the three weeks Orientation Course is structured to prepare Corps Members for the compulsory one-year national service.
He informed the Corp members that the Orientation Camp is highly regimented and all programs are compulsory.
According to him, the Programs have been designed by the NYSC Management to equip them with vital information, leadership, and entrepreneurial skills that they need to carry on with the next phase of the service year and beyond.
“You must, therefore, respect and obey all camp rules and regulations, as any act of indiscipline will not be condoned.
“It is with pride to inform His Excellence that since the commencement of the Orientation Course, these youths have displayed a high level of discipline and I am confident that we are going to have a smooth orientation exercise and a productive service year.”
