The newly sworn-in Coordinator, Abuja Metropolitan Management Council (AMMC), Mr. Felix Amechi Obuah, has assumed duty at the Council’s, within the Zone 6 area of Wuse District, Abuja.
Obuah while addressing the AMMC management staff of AMMC on his first in office, stressed the need for all to imbibe and encourage teamwork spirit in the discharge of their duties in the Council.
He particularly charged staff of the Council to rededicate themselves to the provision of municipal services to the nation’s capital.
Also, the new Coordinator, who described himself as a very commited team player, solicited for the staff cooperation to enable him successfully pilot the affairs of the Council, as the task of achieving the mandate of the Council is a collective responsibility.
Assuring that he will ensure that the desired Abuja modern city is realized, he reiterated loyalty to the oath of office and promised to operate an open door policy.
This, according to him, shows that he has no monopoly of knowledge, as staff are free to come with laudable ideas that will help improve the system.
Obuah, who equally opined that he has been an administrator all his life, also promised to take the Council to greater heights.
He stated that all documents must be properly verified but warned that gossip, religious or ethnic sentiment will not be tolerated.
