Opeyemi Daniel Babalola Honoured as Most Outstanding Tech Executive of the Year at 9th Nigeria Technology Awards

At the 9th edition of the Nigeria Technology Awards (NiTA), Software Engineer and technology leader, Opeyemi Daniel Babalola was officially given the prestigious Most Outstanding Tech Executive of the Year – Financial Services award.

The black-tie award dinner was held yesterday on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at the Virginrose Resorts in Victoria Island, Lagos.

NiTA is an event organised by Beta Media Group which celebrates technology entrepreneurs, innovators, corporate organisations and the leaders transforming Nigeria’s rapidly evolving tech space through technology.

After a careful screening of industry nominations, Babalola, the Chief Executive Officer and Software Engineer of OpenFactor Technology Group, was selected by the NiTA Judging Panel and Advisory Board. His outstanding work in creating scalable backend infrastructure, supporting high-traffic financial solutions, and technology innovation is recognized.

The organizers presented the award certificate and the trophy, praise Babalola for his technical mastery, visionary leadership and commitment to supporting the development of safe and sustainable infrastructure for financial technology.
