PDP mourning death of PRO

Staff and officials of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa state are mourning the sudden death of their Public Relations Officer ((PRO), Alhaji Mohammed Umar Bwala.
A visit to the party’s secretariat on Jos Road, Lafia, witnessed only very few persons all of whom wore sombre faces, expressing shock at Bwala’s demise.
Nasarawa State PDP Caretaker Committee chairman, Hon. Francis Orogu led exco members to a condolence visit to his royal highness (HRH),the Sangari of Shabu ( his brother) at his palace in Shabu, Lafia East Development Area of Nasarawa state. They joined hundreds others for the third-day prayers for the late PRO whose remains were buried according to Muslim injunction. Orogu while describing Bwala as a diligent officer prayed for the repose of his soul.
Meanwhile, friends, well wishers and associates of the late Bwala have continued to throng the Sangarin Shabu’s palace to pay their condolences.
The late Muhammed Umar Bwala was an air force officer before entering the political terrain. He was an elected member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, special adviser on legislative matters to former governor now senator, Abdullahi Adamu and also chairman of the Nasarawa state independent electoral commission (NASIEC).
While many of his associates and friends have decamped to the APC, the late Bwala remained with the PDP from inception of the 4th republic in 1999 to death, serving as the state’s public relations officer from 2016 till his demise.
