PDP replaces Jahun with Abubakar as ex-officio

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Jigawa state chapter, has announced the name of Alhaji Aminu Wada Abubakar as new PDP ex-officio North-west from Jigawa.
This was contained in a statement signed by the state secretary of the party, Isa Bello.
According to the statement, “sequel to the letter tendered by Alhaji Aminu Nuhu Jahun, to the state chapter of our great party, dated 2nd June, 2023. Notifying the withdrawal of his membership of the party.
“The state executive committee have sat and resolved to nominate Honourable Aminu Wada Abubakar as the new ex- officio from Jigawa state”, the statement said.
The statement added that, “While anticipating your cooperation please accept the assurance of the Jigawa state PDP esteem regards”, it said.
It would be recalled that, Alhaji Aminu Jahun was suspended from the party for allege anti-party activities as confirmed to media while delivering his speech shortly after announcing his defection to NNPP in his polling unit.
“I was suspended from PDP just because I attend the swearing-in of my friend Abba Kabir Yusif, and I want them to know nobody can stop my relationship with other people not only Kwankwaso.
“I want formally announced my defection to New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) today Tuesday as I received my membership card at my polling unit in Jahun”, he said.
