Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Giade Local Government Area of Bauchi State has sacked its Chairman, Alhaji Auwalu Maidoya and Financial secretary Alhaji Datti Dan’Iya.
The decision to sack the two officials came at the end of the meeting of the executive committee in Giade after they deliberated on the report of the disciplinary committee.
Presenting the report before the executive committee, Chairman of the disciplinary committee, Malam Dahuru Umar, said the committee met over complaints received from some members of the party called Yayaji Nakari and Danladi Sabon Sara over allegations that the Chairman had abandoned his office and violated the rules and regulations of the party.
Umar alleged that they invited the chairman to come and defend himself before the committee but he refused to come or to send a representative and for that they advised the executive committee to remove him from office under Article 21,7 and 21.8 of the PDP constitution 2009 amended in the best interest of the party in order to have unity and progress.
After submitting his report, the committee deliberated and removed the chairman and appointed Deputy Chairman of the Party Alhaji Umaru Abunari as acting Chairman.
On the Financial Secretary, the committee resolved that since he had decamped to APC, his seat be declared vacant.
