Kaduna State has emerged as the best-performing state in the northwest region at the 2024 Primary Health Care (PHC) Leadership Challenge, receiving international recognition and a $500,000 award for its exceptional healthcare investments and leadership.
Deputy Governor Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, accompanied by the Commissioner of Health and the Executive Secretary of the Primary Health Care Board, accepted the prestigious award at a gala night hosted by the Nigerian Governors’ Forum, in Abuja.
Our correspondent reports that the award highlights Governor Senator Uba Sani’s administration’s strong commitment to transforming the state’s healthcare sector, particularly at the primary healthcare level.
It also recognises Kaduna State’s significant investments and strategic approach to improving public health infrastructure and service delivery.
