Police arrest son, 22 for allegedly stabbing mother to death in Kano

The Kano state Police Command has confirmed the arrest of 22-year-old suspect, Ibrahim Musa who allegedly stabbed his biological mother to death in Kano.
The suspect, popularly known as Iro Ƙwarangwal, was said to have stabbed his 50-year-old mother, Jummai to death over heated disagreement.
In a statement on Friday, spokesman of the Command, SP Abdullahi Kiyawa said the suspect was apprehended at a hideout on Thursday in Dawakin Tofa Local Government at about 10:00pm.
Kiyawa said: “The suspect confessed to the crime and also confessed to dealing in illicit drug abuse.
“He will be charged to court upon completion of the investigation.
“The Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Mohammed Usaini Gumel, FIPMA, psc appreciates those that assisted with information that led to the arrest and commended the Police Tactical Teams that ensure that the culprit is brought to book”.
