Police disburses over N64.7m to families of deceased Policemen in Niger

Niger state police command has issued cheques of N64,715,630.84k to the next of kin of 30 officers who died in active service.

Distributing the cheques at the police headquarters in Minna, Police Commissioner Monday Bala Kuryas, said “this will provide succour to the plight of the families of late officers”.

While presenting the cheques to the next of kins in the presence of family members, the CP noted that the gesture is to give hope to the serving personnel and boost their morale to enhance effective, efficient and committed service to their fatherland.

Responding on behalf of the family members, Yakubu Baba while appreciating the federal government, IGP and CP, applauded the gesture and sympathy shown to the families.
