Police rescue 9 abducted persons in Zamfara

The Zamfara State Police Command said it succeeded in the rescue of 9 persons who were recently abducted by fleeing bandits, following military bombardments on some targeted enclaves in the state.
Parading the rescued at the Police Command Gusau, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), CSP Shehu Mohammed, said Police Tactical Operatives successfully rescued 9 hostages comprising of 7 females and 2 male who were abducted on 11th April, 2023 at Kucheri village in Tsafe LGA of the state.
Shehu noted that, the rescue of the victims was sequel to a credible information obtained from a good samaritan which the Police used and successfully rescued the victims hale and hearty.
He added that the victims while with the Police, undergone medical check at Police Clinic facility Gusau, debriefed by the Police detectives and thereafter re-united with their families and relations.
However, the Commissioner of Police CP Kolo Yusuf, congratulates the victims for regaining their freedom, and reassures the public of sustained onslaught against the activities of bandits and other criminal elements in the state.
