The clergyman in charge of the Christ the King Chapel in Old Kutunku, Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Bishop Dr. Simon Peter Igbadi, has said that the country’s political leaders including president Muhammadu Buhari have failed Nigerians in all ramifications.
He also said the APC-led government had not impacted positively on the lives of ordinary Nigerians based on its change agenda for the country.
Bishop Igbadi, who stated this while speaking to Peoples Daily correspondent on the state of the nation in his residence in Gwagwalada on Saturday, further said Nigerians had achieved nothing under the change agenda of the APC-led administration.
He expressed with dismay that the nation’s president and political office holders had not put smiles on the faces of Nigerians in terms of provision of basic necessities of life.
He then noted that the Executive, the Legislature as well as the Judiciary were no longer checkmate the activities of one another, instead they come together to loot the resources of the country to better their lives.
According to the clergyman, we do not have corruptible lawyers or judges in the country for now, because both the lawyers and the judges are corrupt.
Speaking on the achievements of governors, the senators as well as the members of the House of Representatives, the cleric said they had performed below expectations, as he added that some of them had not constructed feeder roads to their villages.
While commenting on the recent scarcity of fuel in the country, Bishop Igbadi blamed President Muhammadu Buhari for being the minister of petroleum without making the fuel available to Nigerians, noting that scarcity of fuel had led to the high cost of foodstuff in Nigeria.
On unemployment, he said the government functionaries were no longer recruit the youths, instead they do the replacement engaging their people, describing the Nigerian employment as a family-government affair.
