President leaves for Germany on private visit

President Goodluck Jonathan will today leave Abuja for Germany, on what the Presidency said is a private visit.

This was contained in a three-paragraph statement made available to journalists yesterday, by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati.

Abati said the President was expected be back in the country early next week.

The statement read: “President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan will leave Abuja early Friday on a private visit to Germany.

“The President will be accompanied on the trip by some of his principal aides.

He is expected be back in Abuja early next week.
