The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) said it has inducted 185 beneficiaries for the 2017/2018 Post Graduate high Diploma (PhD)overseas scholarship programme yesterday in Abuja .
The Executive Secretary of PTDF, Dr. Aliyu Guasu said those selected to be interviewed deserved the scholarship among thousands who have applied for scholarship programme .
Gusau who stated that the PTDF worked extra mile in ensuring that what they beneficiaries applied are relevant to the oil and gas industry,”we had to looked at their performance and interface all of the scholars here at this point deserved to there”.
Consequently, He reaffirmed that PTDF is not a scholarship board but their core mandate is capacity building, solving real life and practical problem to oil and gas” the beneficiaries research and study must be applicable to Nigerian”.
“It is global acclaimed worldwide university programme and many universities are collaborating with us”.
While urging the beneficiaries of the programme to be good ambassador to yourselves , family keeping focus, do their best as representative of Nigeria .
The beneficiaries of the Phd scholarship award thanked PTDF for opportunity given to them and Nigeria government for chosen as worthy ambassador to represent the country and promising to do their best .
