Kebbi State Government has purchased 886,000 tones of fertilizers to the farmers for the raining season farming in the State.
Addressing journalists at a press conference held at the Government House Birnin kebbi on Tuesday, the APC spokesman Alhaji Sani Dododo said that the fertilizers will be sold at the subsidy rate.
He explained further that government’s decision is to bring sanity to the farmers and ensure that they have farming tools. “The government has already gave the KASCON directive to supply the fertilizer to the State and sold at the subsidy rate” he added.
Dododo who also warned the people of the State most especially the farmers or any government officials not to sale the fertilizers to anybody and if found in the market the person will face the Law, “the government his commitments to the people of Kebbi State and he will ensured the transparent is done in sailing of it” he said.
He said that the fertilizers will be sold at the rate of 5,500 naira per bag, assured the farmer for transparency in the sales of it.
