Sanga killings: Yero’s visit not politically motivated – Ben Bako

Kaduna state Commissioner for Information and Home Affairs, Mr. Ben Bako has dispelled the rumour making the rounds that Governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero’s visit to Fadan Karshi, Sanga local government area of the state to condole the victims of the recent attacks by unknown government in the area was politically motivated.

The Commissioner who was speaking to newsmen in his office at the weekend said what happened in Sanga is highly condemnable, because human life is sacred and killing a soul should worry even the worse sadist let alone a state governor who has his people at heart.

Mr. Bako expressed regret that the visit was misunderstood by some people who tried to play politics with human lives. But however said the people of Sanga were happy with the governor’s visit.

According to him, the district head of Lumana who spoke during the governor’s visit said they were worried because they have not seen their governor when this sad event took place, but seeing the governor has brought succour to them and cushioned the effect of the sad incident that happened.

The Commissioner further said that the state government is doing its best in curbing the security challenges facing the state and pleaded for understanding by all in the state.

He said Governor Mukhtar Yero is the leader of the state, but not the Police Commissioner, The GOC or head of the Civil Defence, but he is only coordinating the activities of these security agencies in the state to curtail security challenges.

He explained that if the past leaders of the state were unable to meet all the needs of the state for the period they found themselves in the seat of power Governor Ramalan Yero too would only do his best, but cannot solve all the problems in the state.

He called on leaders of the southern Kaduna people to provide the right leadership for the youth of the state while tasking the youth to tread with caution, be patient and respect leaders no matter where they come from.

He urged the people of Southern Kaduna to distant themselves from politicians who play politics with bitterness. He explained that the unity of the state should go beyond politics, because what unites the people is bigger than politics that is about   to separate them.

He said though everybody has the right to protest if he felt aggrieved through any means, he however condemned the protest through nakedness of women. He said all the religions of the world condemned nudity of any kind.
