The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, have separately commiserated with Nigeria over death of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Buhari died in a London Hospital on Sunday, and is due to be buried today (Tuesday) in his Daura home town in Katsina State according to Islamic rites.
Already, the grave has been dug awaiting arrival of the body from London as of Tuesday morning.
The Saudi King expressed deep sympathy with the people and government of Nigeria over Buhari’s death.
The message was via a cable of condolences and sympathy to the Federal Republic of Nigeria and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari, according to a report by the Saudi Press Agency, SPA.
“The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques expressed deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the president, the Nigerian people, and the family of the deceased,” the message said on Monday.
Similarly, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, also sent a cable of condolences and sympathy to Federal Republic of Nigeria President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
HRH the Crown Prince, according to SPA, expressed deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the president, the Nigerian people, and the family of the deceased.
