The federal government has approved the sum of the one billion (N1Bn) for the commencement of the construction of the police training institute at Kafin Hausa local government in Jigawa State.
The chairman senate committee on Police Affairs, senator Abdulhamid Ahmed Malam Madori confirmed the approval, while speaking during Jigawa State Government Citizen Engagement Programme (JSGCEP).
He said “the senate has already passed the law for establishment of the institute in Kafin Hausa”.
According to him, “the construction of a police training institute in Kafin Hausa has under go all processes and being passed into law by the senate and waiting for president Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s accentuation for immediate commencement of the project”.
He added that the law for the instruction is aimed at enhancing accurate trained police men for better and up to date policing in the country in general.
The senator further stated that he sponsored a motion for the construction of a police training institute in Kafin Hausa at the red chamber deliverated and passed in to law and concordantly made a provision of one billion (N1Bn) in the 2025 budget and subsequently approved the funds for the project.
Malam Madori said he donated a brand new Toyota Hilux to the Kafin Hausa local government divisional headquarter in addition to renovations and divisional well furnished of division and police barrack to motivate security operatives in the area.
