Senator’s wife honoured with Yoruba traditional title in Niger State

The wife of Niger East Senator, Hajiya Sa’adatu Sani Musa, has been honoured with the prestigious Yoruba traditional title of “Yeye of Yorubas”, in recognition of her generosity and support for Yoruba cultural activities in Niger State.

The title, which translates to “Lover of the Yorubas”, was conferred on her by the Sarkin Yarbawa of Minna, Alhaji Abdulrazak Abdulkarim (Iyayi).

The Yoruba Forum, a leading socio-cultural group, formally presented the honour to Hajiya Sa’adatu at her residence in Abuja on Wednesday.

During the ceremony, members of the Yoruba Forum praised her commitment to cultural inclusivity and fostering unity among diverse ethnic groups.

They also assured her of their continued support in advancing good governance and leadership in Niger State.

Senator Sani Musa, speaking alongside his wife, expressed gratitude for the recognition and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the Yoruba community and other ethnic groups in the state.

He emphasised the importance of cultural unity in Nigeria, pledging to continue backing initiatives that promote peaceful coexistence and development.

The conferment of the “Yeye of Yorubas” title highlights Hajiya Sa’adatu’s contributions to strengthening inter-ethnic relations in Niger State. It also reflects the increasing recognition of individuals working to enhance national unity.

The event was attended by dignitaries, traditional leaders, and members of the Yoruba community, further cementing the ties between the Yoruba people and the leadership of Senator Sani Musa.
