The Youth Wing of the Southern Kaduna Peoples Union (SOKAPU) praised its members for adhering to their earlier call not to join the ongoing protests.
“We made this decision because past protests in Kaduna State have led to violence and looting, causing harm to law-abiding citizens. Recent incidents of attacks on security personnel and the looting of shops validate our concerns.”
SOKAPU sympathized with those who have suffered losses due to the protests and prayed for their recovery. “We also call on security agencies to take decisive action to recover stolen goods and bring those responsible to justice.
“We call on our members across the country to continue to be law abiding and refrain from participating in any politically motivated protests.”
