Players, staff and management of Sporting Dreams FC will on Saturday 6th of January 2018, return to their base in Kubwa Abuja and commence the first phase of Pre-season ahead of the forthcoming 2017/18 season after an initial 16-day break in commemoration of the Christmas and New Year festivities.
According to the Team Technical Director, Nnamdi Onuigbo, the club’s first training session will be on Saturday by 6:45am at the Baptist Convention Training Ground, Kubwa.
“We are back from the 16-day break which enabled us to reunite with our families, relatives and friends to celebrate Christmas and New Year. Now we are back to business as the football season will start in less than two weeks time. We start our season with FC Bayern Youth cup in Nigeria, the very first of its kind in the country. To show you our level of seriousness and focus, we have decided to hold our first training session in the first week of the year. We have to put finishing touches to our preparation process before our first game of the tournament,” he said in an email sent to our reporter.
Club C. E. O., Mr Idahosa Benjamin, a renowned business man added that “he is very prepared and indeed optimistic ahead of the season. We arrive the beginning of the season with great optimism and confidence that the players and management can achieve all the set goals for this New Year,” he said.
