Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President, Amaju Pinnick has described as embarrassing the performance of the Super Eagles in recent times especially the ongoing 2015 AFCON qualifiers where the Eagles have only picked a point from nine. Pinnick in a press statement said the Super Eagles have not been impressive in their matches so far and described their performance as awful.   “It is embarrassing that as reigning champions, we are struggling in the qualifying series, with only one point out of a possible nine. It is an awful output.”

Pinnick however appealed to Nigerians to be patient and not stampede the Federation to taking haphazard decisions.  “We want our people to be patient and not stampede the Federation to take knee-jerk decisions that will backfire in the end. We are on top of the situation and will take decisions that are in the best interest of Nigeria football.”
