Super Eagles will reach the semi finals of World Cup – Dimeji Lawal

Date:

Former Super Eagles forward Oladimeji Muhammed Lawal is optimistics that the Super Eagles will make it to the semi finals of the Russia 2018 world cup when it gets started in Russia later this year.
According to him, this is the first time the former African Champions will be parading young, exposed and experience players, great coaching crew and above all ability to come together as a family on and off the pitch.
These factors, he asserted, will go a long way in making the team difficult for any of their opponents to neither intimidate nor defeat them.
“Let me start by congratulating the Super Eagles gaffer Gernot Rohr for taking the team to where it ought to be. He did a great job, I must confess to make Nigeria the first African nation to qualify for the world cup despite the qualities of other teams in our group. Recall that we have two former AFCON champions (Zambia and Algeria) and Cameroon the defending Champions, yet we qualified against all odds.”
“Once the issue of bonuses and allowances are sorted out which can make them pshycologically balance then they are good to go. All they need is to focus on winning the first two matches, it’s not going to be easy games, because they are good sides as well with great players in their squad but winning the first two games is achievable by the Super Eagles.
With the expected spectacular performance from our darling team, I believe no team can stop them until they reach the semis where no African team have gotten to at the world cup.” He concluded.
