Suspected armed bandits have invaded Tsiga village of Bakori Local Government area of Katsina state abducting nine residents including the former Director-General of NYSC, Brig. Gen. Maharazu Tsiga.

Some residents who spoke to Peoples Daily newspaper on condition of anonymity said the criminals in their large number quietly attacked the community around midnight on Wednesday and initially using flash lights to victims’ houses.

The residents disclosed that although the attackers saw some of the villagers around, they seemed to have specific instructions on targeted persons as they divided themselves and went straight to the identified houses picking up only the ones they came for.

At the residence of the retired Army General, it was gathered that over a dozen of the bandits surrounded the facility while others forced themselves in and compelled the victim out.

Although neither the police nor other security agencies have so far spoken on the attack, the village community and other surrounding communities are currently living in fears as they awaited the arrival of the security.
