The Chairperson
of the Society of Women Accountants of Nigeria (SWAN), Abuja Chapter, Mrs Queen Chinwe Ofili- Ikpeazu has encouraged members of the association to continue upholding the spirt of unity, excellence, accountability and integrity in every aspect of their lives.

Ofili- Ikpeazu stated this at the weekend during a picnic tagged: Eat, Wine, Sing and Sisterhood bonding
yesterday in Abuja .

She said, “We are all members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and SWAN.
“As members, we have to uphold our mandates to our association for the betterment of our now and future progress. “

Speaking further, she said, “we have achieved two major milestones in the chapter this 2025.

“The emergence of the 9th chairperson of the chapter was a huge success. Secondly, the career talk in schools to encourage younger ones to know how vast accounting is, was another bigger achievement.

“With accounting, one can work in any office in Nigeria and overseas.”

Speaking further, she said the event was for them to bond together and express love to one another.

She also called on Nigerians to remain patriotic despite what is happening in the country.
“ The chapter has both Christians and Muslims, but our focus is beyond religion and ethnicity. We are gathered as sister regardless of our backgrounds.

Similarly, the
committee chairperson of the
event, Anointed Aladi Odoh , said relaxation and bonding is very necessary after work.

“We are catching up and having fun with one another to ease off the stress of work.”

Odoh maintained that the chapter has made impact this year, adding that they enjoy impacting lives and giving out their best.

She also charged Nigeria to continue to live in unity and peace for the progress of the nation.
