The Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas has approved the appointment of Alh. Abubakar Bawa as Special Adviser on Political Matters.
In a statement issued to Journalists in Jalingo by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Yusuf Sanda indicated that Mr Bawa would be sworn in today Wednesday, 6th September.
According to a statement, “His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas has approved the appointment of Alhaji Ababukar Bawa as Special Adviser on Political Matters to the Governor.
“He will be sworn-in on Wednesday, 6th September, 2023 at the Exco Chambers by 9am. Statement added.
Mr Bawa served as political adviser to the immediate past Governor, Darius Dickson Ishaku, and was later appointed by Darius as the People’s Democratic party PDP, chairman in the State.
Then the acting chairman, Mr Inuwa Bakari took the matter to court, demanding the appointment of Bawa be removed as he was wrongly appointed.
People’sDaily reports that the appointment of Bawa as the Special Adviser on Political Matters to the Governor would end the lingering crisis in Taraba PDP.
