The Acting state Coordinator, National Blood Transfusion Service, (NBTS), Jalingo, Mr Yohana Sama’ila Njire-Uten has said that, the donation of blood is every Nigerian’s duty.

At the International Blood Donors day celebration in Jalingo, He explained that the purpose of the yearly event was to create awareness on the need for safe blood, donations.

He urged voluntary and non-remunerated blood donors to continue to help  donate blood in order to save lives.

In same vein, the Pioneer coordinator of NBTS Taraba State, Doctor Boniface Haziel Jawo, who described the health sector as cardinal to human life has called on Nigerians to volunteer and save lives through blood donations He further commended the NBTS leadership for embarking on the public enlightenment campaign on the importance of blood donation.
