The Tinubu Initiative for National Transformation (TINT) yesterday announced the official commencement of its nationwide programmes, signaling a bold step toward inclusive development, unity, and national renewal.

To drive its activities, the organization also appointed Alhaji Nuhu Sani Babura as its National Coordinator.

TINT is a grassroots-based, non-governmental, and non-partisan platform inspired by the progressive ideals and leadership philosophy of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The Initiative is committed to empowering communities, promoting good governance, and advancing sustainable development across the six geopolitical zones of the country.

Speaking on his appointment, Alhaji Babura said: “It is a great honor to lead this transformative initiative. TINT represents a new era of national consciousness—one rooted in inclusion, service, and progress. We are taking development directly to the people, in every ward, village, and Together,we will strengthen our institutions, uplift our communities,and inspire the next generation of leaders”

Babura added that TINT will launch with a series of regional consultations, empowerment programmes, and policy dialogues aimed at building a united, prosperous, and forward-looking Nigeria.

He revealed that line with its grassroots mission, TINT will be establishing operational offices in all 774 local government areas of the country to serve as hubs for mobilization, civic engagement, policy outreach, and direct community support, ensuring that no Nigerian is left behind in the national transformation agenda.

Alhaji Babura, a seasoned administrator and advocate for social progress with a strong track record in public administration and grassroots mobilization brings a wealth of experience in public service, mobilization and policy coordination to his new role.

The delegation, led by Alhaji Ibrahim Yunusa Karika, Chairman of the movement, visited Arc. Ja’afar at in Abuja to convey their request .

Addressing the gathering, Alhaji Karika passionately appealed to Arc. Ja’afaru to accept what he described as a “clarion call” from the people of Nasarawa State.

He said: “We, the concerned citizens from across the 13 local government areas, have come with one voice to ask you, Arc. Muhammad Ja’afaru Atekpa Ibrahim, to step forward and lead our state into a new era. We believe in your vision, your integrity, and your capacity to deliver transformational leadership for Nasarawa State under the platform of the PDP.”

Responding to the appeal, Arc. Ja’afaru expressed his gratitude for the confidence reposed in him, emphasizing however, that the importance of consultation and due process within the party structure.

He said: “I am deeply honored and humbled by this call from my people. However, as a loyal and respected member of the PDP, I will first consult with the party officials and stakeholders before making a final decision. Our party stands for discipline, unity, and respect for procedure, and I will ensure that my next steps align with these principles.”

The event is being viewed by political observers as a significant step that could shape the direction of Nasarawa State’s political landscape ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The broad-based support from citizens across the state signals strong grassroots backing should Arc. Ja’afaru decide to accept the call.
