As the current administration approaches its second year, a cross section of Nigerians including his ardent critiques have been unanimous in applauding President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his inclusive, people oriented policies, widespread infrastructural development and merit based appointments.
Since assumption of office, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has shown his tact for talent hunting and an ingenious ability to pick appointees purely based on merit without compromising federal character as it was almost becoming conventional with other leaders in the past.
For the first time in the history of Nigeria, the hullabaloo about lopsided appointments, nepotism and clannishness has died down, leaving behind a wave of ecstatic jubilations that cuts across all social, religious and political divides.
These assertions were made known by the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO) of Somi Solar and Electricals Limited, Engr. Samson Okpe in a congratulary message to Amb. Solomon Adodo on his recent and meritorious appointment as Board Member, North Central Development Commission by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Amb. Solomon Adodo,President of the National Youth Council of Nigerian (NYCN) has been a vibrant grassroot mobilizer and an avid commentator on national discourse. His non-violent approach to policy reforms and his ability to mobilize Nigerian youths in promoting government policies even at the expense of his comfort is legendary.
“With this appointment, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has once again shown that his government is an inclusive one and that he has the interest of Nigerian youths at heart. It is safe to say that this is a youth oriented administration and indeed the future of Nigerian youths is assured.
“Under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, youths are no longer the leaders of tomorrow, they are leading presently and are strategically represented in ministries, departments, parastatals and Commissions. With the appointment of Adodo, Mr. President has ended the age long policy of recycling the old generation into leadership positions.
“In recognizing the tireless efforts of Amb. Adodo in the civil society space, his obsession with the empowerment of Nigerian youths and the promotion of good governance through policy reforms and strategic interventions, Mr. President has made a bold statement that sacrifice, patriotism and dedication Wil never go unrewarded”, he stated.
Engr. Samson Okpe concluded by calling on all Nigerian youth “to continue to partner and collaborate with the present administration which has shown a sincere commitment to youth empowerment and shun the antics of opposition politicians who are desperate for power using blackmail as their weapon of choice”.
