In a bid to boost the existing Abuja Urban Mass Transport Company (AUMTCO) fleets of high capacity buses plying the nation’s capital, Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has disclosed the procurement of 100 new buses.

According to the FCT minister, Sen. Bala Mohammed, the additional buses are expected to arrive in the country next month (April).

A statement issued on Tuesday, by the Chief Press Secretary to the FCT minister, Muhammad Sule, revealed that the additional are intended to improve AUMTCO’s capacity and service delivery in consonance with the dictates of the Transformation Agenda of President Goodluck Jonathan.

It added that the FCT Administration had placed order on these vehicles from China and production is expected to be completed by March 2014.
