A group of traditional and religious leaders in Jigawa state, promised to contribute their quota towards reducing influx of Almajiris in Jigawa state.
The move was announced by the group leader and also a former grand Khadi of Jigawa state, Alhaji Isah Jibril Gantsa during a one day town hall dialoque with representative of religious and traditional leaders of some selected communities organised by CISLAC.
He explained that, right from the grassroots, traditional and religious leaders have a vital role to play in advancing the rights of Almajiri pupils in the state.
According to him, the group expressed concern on Almajiri pupils, adding that, every child need to have right for education, food,health and shelter for him to grow up to adolescent stage.
