Transport minister commiserates with Gombe bomb blast victims

Minister of Transport, Sen. Idris Umar has commiserated with the victims, who suffered various degrees of injuries when

Bomb exploded on Friday, at Gombe motorpark, leaving scores of people dead.

While commiserating with the victims yesterday, when he visited the Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe, the Minister said federal government is doing all that it can to stem the tide of insurgency in the country.

According to him Federal government had increased troops with more equipment with a view to helping them win the war against insurgency, and called on the people to be security conscious in their various areas and report suspicious movements to concerned authorities.

On the transport sector, the minister said a plan is in the offing by his ministry to organize a meeting with State Commissioners of Transport across the country, on the need to put hands on deck to find lasting solution to problems in the sector.
